GiS - Gesellschaft für Informatik und Steuerungs-technik mbH is
located in Lenningen in the Stuttgart area in the south of Germany.
Founded in the year 1986, GiS focused on the research of controls
for textile machines.
Parallel a CAD-system for the embroidery
industry was developed, whose derivative is today one of the main
products of GiS.
The activities in the field of controls reached from
Kurznaht-Automaten over textile printing machines to controls for
embroidery machines.
Moving to the new company building in 1990 brought room for new
employees and an own production department
Since 1998 GiS is programming checking automats for the automobile
industry with the Neumann company.
More and more GiS tried to offer complete solutions in the control
technique. The bought parts for identification turned out to be
insufficient, which leaded to the foundation of the
RFID/IDENT-department in 1997. |

One of the first projects was the MagicKey
system for fast
identification of waiters at
the cash.
The RFID-Control of an attraction at a leisure park received the
RFID-Award in 1999 as the most innovative product.
Since then transponder read-write systems are used in many
applications in textile sorting systems, conveyor technique, access
and time-control. Customer specific demands are always in the center,
GiS adopts their systems to the customers needs, and not the other
way round. All important interfaces are supported and the data
protocol is coordinated individually.
GiS has a special focus on excellent service. Customer consulting
and highest flexibility have top priority and so GiS is competitive
even against larger competitors. |
